Every woman knows people who don't feel like they're aging. Andevery year in Germany, thousands of happy people grow older without it showing on their skin. These people are called "super agers" by science.
According to current estimates, about 1.3% of the population are considered "super agers"; they are estimated by most people to be 10 to 20 years younger on average. A new study has now been able to reveal the reason for the happiness of these special people.
"It's a completely new finding in the world of anti-aging science," explains Erik Landson, a well-known dermatologist based in New York. "Everyone wants to know how to stay young while getting older - and this could well be the answer they've all been waiting for. This discovery is revolutionizing the way people take care of their skin."
According to the researchers, the breakthrough could help people "regenerate aging skin, naturally, to look younger, fight visible signs of aging and restore a youthful glow."
"We have found that there is a group of people that we call in science "super agers." They seem to age completely differently than other people. These "super-agers" are in their 50s, 60s and even 70s, but show little to no signs of visible skin damage," says Hillary Liebig, a leading scientist in the field of dermatology from Boston.
"A good example is Jennifer Lopez. She's 51 years old and almost everyone would guess she's in her early to mid-30s. And yet she doesn't look like she's had dozens of surgeries - it all seems normal."
"We think we've figured out why they age so well. It seems that their skin cells regenerate extremely well, even in old age," she explains. "And the key to this better skin regeneration can actually be found in the skin."
"The so-called "super agers" don't use any more anti-aging products on their skin than other people. If anything, they seem to use fewer creams and serums," she says.
"We have found a new way to stimulate skin regeneration. It's a completely new way to fight the aging process."
What is this discovery all about and does it really deliver what it promises? Our editorial team has investigated the new anti-aging breakthrough for you.
We asked dermatologists for more details and the metastudies yielded answers to our questions:
"According to research, it appears that regeneration points and supply flows between skin layers become blocked with age.
The skin's response to UV light conditions this to be interrupted. UV light can cause lasting damage to the skin, but these effects of UV light can be reversed."
Recent studies show that UV rays may be responsible for up to 80.7% of the visible signs of skin aging, including dryness, flaky skin and thus eventual wrinkling.
"Any research into skin rejuvenation has to start with blocking the negative effects of UV light," Landson explains. "When you're out walking, and yes, even when you're indoors standing next to a window, your skin is affected by UV light, positively and negatively. Even if the sun isn't shining and the sky is cloudy, your skin is still exposed to UV light."
Continuing: "We recommend using sunscreen daily, of course, but even sunscreen isn't always enough." It is known that any kind of excessive sunbathing can accelerate the aging of the skin.
But why does UV light start to cause visible signs of aging only after the age of 35 to 40 and not before?
"When our skin is young, it can regenerate extremely quickly," explains Markus Hoffner, a researcher and dermatologist from Munich. "That's why young people can be exposed to UV light all day without seeming to suffer any consequences. Sure, their skin is stressed - but it regenerates so well that it doesn't matter that much."
"As we age, our skin cells slow down and don't regenerate as quickly. They take maybe two or three times as long to regenerate compared to our early 20s."
"The so-called "super agers" maintain this rapid skin regeneration until late in life. The reason for this seems to lie in the skin itself."
The Dulex Acid Complex, developed and manufactured in Germany, works in 2 stages and is used as a night treatment to combat the causes of wrinkles.
"We have found that super-agers have a much greater amount of specific transport channels in the skin. The skin structure of a super-ager has a completely different microstructure than most people," says Dr. Hoffner.
What do acids have to do with skin aging?
"According to various studies we conducted last year, lactic, almond and hyaluronic acids, among others, have two main anti-aging effects. First, certain acid bacteria can produce antioxidant substances.
So-called free radicals, which are produced in the body by UV light, for example, can cause damage to the cells and accelerate skin aging. The antioxidant acids "catch" these free radicals and make them harmless."
"But their second and most important benefit is that they speed up the rate of skin regeneration and reduce inflammation. These acid bacteria modulate the body's immune response, which helps maintain the normal rate of skin regeneration while eliminating inflammation," he explains.
The end result? According to their research, a reduction in the visible signs of aging and a more youthful appearance, without using any type of chemical.
"The results of our experiments are amazing. When you give the skin the right nutrients and lactic acid bacteria, many people report seeing a noticeable difference for the first time in the depth of their fine lines, for example. This is despite the fact that they've often tried everything to look younger," explains Dr. Pliray. "Their skin looks brighter, naturally retains more moisture and is more supple than it has been in years."
"It's all a result of better regeneration," she explains. "You automatically have fewer visible signs of aging."
Products with good, healthy active ingredients and acids are currently one of the trending topics in healthcare. But the discovery of scientists seems to prove that they could also revolutionize the anti-aging industry.
"If you give someone the natural acids in the complex of active ingredients that we've identified, we can measure a significant reduction in skin problems - in fact, 60 to 80 percent - within 6 to 8 weeks." Landson says.
"As for the actual benefits, most people report looking younger, their skin feels smoother and their fine lines aren't as visible."
In technical terms, their most famous study, a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial of 54 healthy patients, concluded: "For the first time, the results provide evidence that the applied drug complex accelerates skin recovery after UV-induced immunosuppression."
But is there a way for consumers to benefit from the anti-aging effects of the active ingredients?
Dulexir® is the first product based on the specially developed Dulex Acid Complex to make skin look younger by fighting skin aging.
It contains various natural acids and active ingredients, all of which have been clinically studied. In addition, it contains vitamins. Hyaluron and specially purified water, which have been proven to support the skin.
"It's the product I recommend to all my patients who want to get younger-looking skin naturally," Dr. Landson explains. "The feedback has been consistently enthusiastic."
Dulexir Hyaluron Night Cure is based on the innovative 2-step effect - and thus provides not only scientifically studied and animal-free hyaluron, but also several important vitamins and as well as lactic and mandelic acids to further reduce skin aging. A major advantage of mandelic acid is its very good tolerability, even for sensitive skin types. The reason: Compared to glycolic acid, mandelic acid has significantly larger molecules. As a result, it penetrates deeper skin layers more slowly and evenly and therefore irritates the skin far less. Mandelic acid is mild and very well tolerated
Panthenol is also called provitamin B5 and is mainly known as an active ingredient in wound and healing ointments. With good reason, because panthenol stimulates the formation of new cells and thus the natural regeneration of the skin. But panthenol can do even more: it ensures that the skin is well moisturized and should therefore be included in every moisturizer.
Hyaluron (SODIUM HYALURONATE) is known to most as an effective water reservoir. The combination of high and low molecular hyaluronic acid supports the long-term anti-wrinkle effect and can directly contribute to a moisturized skin. The goal is to restore tone to your skin
Moisturizer with antimicrobial properties, ensures that cosmetics remain durable. It is not a conventional preservative, but moisturizes and can help to better carry active ingredients into the skin. Substances that allow deeper absorption. dd
Lactic acid exfoliates the top layers of the skin, supports the skin barrier and improves the skin's moisture status. Due to its molecular size, lactic acid is a very mild alternative to other acids. In this way, you enjoy the benefits of the positive effects without risking skin irritation.
The basis of any cosmetic is water, it makes up 70% of our body and is therefore the main component of our body. We do not use simple tap water. This contains two things: minerals and microorganisms. Therefore, we only use distilled and filtered water.v
